Rectus Capitis Ventralis

Bilaterally flexes poll & unilaterally rotates upper neck to the side.

Brachiocephalicus

Flexes the neck, moves shoulder forward

Splenius

Bilaterally elevates and or extends the neck, unilaterally bends the neck to same side.

Multifidus

Bilaterally is a spinal stabilizer assists in the extension of the spine, unilaterally rotation to opposite side.

Rhomboids

Bilaterally elevates scapula, also elevates lower neck.

Triceps

Extension of elbow, long head flexes shoulder joint.

Latissimus dorsi

Retracts forelimb, flexion of shoulder joint, when limb is fixed, it also draws trunk cranially.

Deltoid

Protraction of the limb; scapular part flexes shoulder & assists in abduction.

Serratus Cervicis

Assists in bringing scapula forward, it raises the neck when limb is fixed, assists in suspending and stabilizing the trunk.

Serratus Ventralis (thoracis)

Brings scapula back, stabilizes trunk, assists in inspiration

Infraspinatus

Extends the shoulder, assists in & lateral rotation of limb & abduction, as a ligament to prevent dislocation of the shoulder.

Trapezius

Elevates shoulder, draw scapula upward and forward, upward and backward.

Sternocephalicus

Bilaterally it opens the mouth, flexes the poll and neck Unilaterally flexion and rotation of the upper head and neck to the same side.
